Details of VAC waivers and refunds

As part of tourism and agriculture support initiatives, the Australian government will offer waivers or refund of the visa application charges (VAC) for certain visitor, working holiday makers, temporary skilled workers and prospective partners whose travel has been impacted by COVID-19.

Visitor, working holiday and temporary skilled visa holders can get a waiver of VAC for their further visa applications. Those working holiday makers who cannot re-apply due to their age will be offered a refund.

Prospective marriage visa holders who could not travel to Australia and their visa expired will be eligible for refunds. Those with visa still valid will be given extension.
